As of today, the StarCraft 2 roster of Na`Vi is no more. According to team manager Artem Bykov, Lowely will become inactive while he and the other players, among which renowned names like Strelok and HappyZerg, will look for another home.
This is the second time Na`Vi has had to release their StarCraft 2 players. The first disbandment of the roster happened on November 30th 2011 when players like HappyZerg and BabyKnight had to search for another team. On April 9th of 2013, Na`Vi re-established its StarCraft 2 division by merging with FXO.Europe and gaining back BabyKnight and HappyZerg alongside Strelok, Lowely and Minato.
On August 31st, BabyKnight left again to pursue a career with Millenium which left Na`Vi with just four players. As of today, all of them are released as FXOpen discontinues sponsorship of the team along with the release of the Korean division (now renamed to fOu). In Artem Bykov's words, of the four players Lowely will go into retirement while Strelok, HappyZerg and Minato will join their manager in a search for a new team.
Na`Vi.FXOpen manager Artem "Fairon" Bykov:
It’s very hard for me to say, but after 3 years of presence on the pro scene our StarCraft 2 team is disbanding. Unfortunately from November the 1st FXOpen stop sponsoring our team as well as FXO.KR. From now on Anton “LoWeLy” Plebanovich is going inactive, me and the other players are looking for new teams.
On behalf of my team, I want to thank FXOpen and all our sponsors for their sincere support and professionalism during the last 3 years. I would also like to thank our fans who cheered and supported us in our good and bad times no matter what, you guys are amazing! StarCraft 2 community always was, is and always will be the best gaming community ever, and I am very proud to be part of it!
