The qualification process for the upcoming Red Bull Battle Grounds New York has begun and Vibe is the first player to score success.
On the PDT morning of October 19th, Vibe took out HuK 3-1 to sit atop the first qualifier for Red Bull Battle Grounds New York. The 2012 WCS USA champion also stomped over renowned names from the Americas, including sWs and his team-mates Catz and Minigun. HuK's path to the qualifier finals was not much easier and EG's Protoss had to defeat qxc, SeleCT and, most surprising of all, Acer's star Zerg player and Season 2 top four finisher Scarlett.
Vibe's victory here guarantees that he will be flown to Los Angeles on November 3rd for the offline portion of the qualifier process. Said live tournament will feature all of the four winners of the online qualifiers who will fight through a Bo5 semis and Bo7 grand final for $800, seed and fully-paid trip to the New York Battlegrounds.
The second qualifier is scheduled to be completed tomorrow.
