?Proleague 12-13 grand finalists Woongjin Stars
According to KeSPA chairman Jeon Byeong Hyeon, the thirteenth season of the Proleague will commence in November, bringing along a shorter side event similar to the 2007 KeSPA cup. Line-up of the tournament is still to announced.
The start of the new season was confirmed in a post on PGR21.com, which also contained an Excel spreadsheet with statistics from the ten-year history of the Proleague tournament. According to the source, a total of 368 progamers and 13 teams have participated in the Proleague. Of them, Flash holds the record for most Proleague victories overall with 266; Stork is the player with most appearances (388); and Yellow and Reach are the player with longest careers in the Proleague, amounting to 8 years, 3 months and 29 days.
As for the new season coming to streams this November, the bigger question that interest the viewers is what the actual line-up will be. As of September 5th, EG-TL have not re-confirmed their alliance and with them loosing coach Park to CJ Entus, fans' safest bet is that the joint roster will not be returning for the new season. What's more, SouL are no longer part of the Proleague line-up having joined eSF and the GSTL and there are still the speculations about Woongjin's financial troubles which also may lead to the disbandment of the team.
