The final stage of America's challenger league began last night with the first matches from the group phase and Crank and Goswser are the first to re-qualify for Premier league through it.
Running flawless through Group A, the Korean Protoss of team Axiom returned for his third consecutive WCS America Premier league appearance. Crank enjoyed a top eight finish in the first season but was dropped down to challenger in season two after running into a Ro16 exit, sharing a group with iG's Jim and circuit's eventual champion Polt.
Second to him came Goswser who is returning to premier league after spending the entire second season down in challenger. Counted among the best on his continent with high finishes at Iron Squid II, Assembly Summer '13 and DH Valencia '13, Goswser now returns for his second premier league run this year.
WCS America challenger continues at 00:00 tonight with the foreigner-heavy Group B. Sage is the sole Korean place in the company of Snute, Suppy and XY and it is more than likely that the challenger group stages sees its first Korean elimination.
