It's getting fancier by the second

Jim's drama with getting a visa for Gamescom in Cologne, Germany ended today with negative results. The Chinese player, whose run in the WCS was plagued with similar problems from the start, had to apply for permission to enter Germany due to his age of 17. Both Jim's parents and his manager were involved in the process and the player's fate was not clear until today. A couple of posts by both Blizzard and ESL hinted that Jim might have to forfeit his Season 2 finals spot he earned through placing fifth in WCS America but not until today was that officially confirmed.

The news came from iG's manager Edison who anounced through Chinese social channel Weibo that Jim will indeed be staying home. His spot in Group C of the finals will be taken by EG's aLive who will play group's opening match against Korea champion Maru (group stage schedule to the left).

$150,000 are on the line at the final event for season two, $40,000 to be awarded to the winner on August 25th.
