Liquid`Taeja scores back-to-back Assembly Summer championships after taking a win in four maps against Azubu's San. This is the second premier gold in two months for the Liquid Terran after his triumph at HomeStory Cup VII.
Coming into the grand final as a renowned TvP mastermine and a definite favorite, Taeja channeled his superiority in two easy victories to open the series. On both Planet S and Star Station, San opted to go for a macro game but only fell victim to Taeja's superior multitasking and rupturing medivac drops which always left the Protoss bleeding.
San's only triumph in the series came at the end of a fourty-minute game on Newkirk Precinct, a somewhat surprising outcome considering the results of the previous two games. Sneaking around a pair of high templars, San was able to pincer Taeja's push between a pair of psi storms and gained enough advantage to make his transition into double stargate tempests win him the late game.

Unfortunately for San's fanbase, his success would not last for long. Not particularly fond of the idea to go head-to-head against Taeja in yet another macro scenario, San opened with a 2-base immortal timing which, although forcing a temporary lift on Taeja's natural, would be repelled without dealing the necessary damage.
Confident after this little triumph, Taeja turned the game around in his signature fashion. The medivac raids and drop snipes were unstopping, delaying San's tech or wiping expensive units for free. With time, Taeja's advantage snowballed out of control and with a final push - paraded by numerous EMP blasts onto San's army - Taeja was able to keep his Assembly championship.
