Three Protoss players and a lone Zerg advance to IEM Shanghai semi-finals (to be played out tomorrow) one day before the conclusion of the tournament.

?If the quarter final round of the IEM Shanghai had an equal distribution of races, that is not so much the case with the semi finals. Oz, HerO and MC took care of DongRaeGu, HyuN and Alive in the first playoff games last night to ensure the Protoss hegemony at the round of four, leaving Polt and Revival to fight for the last spot and to be the sole representatives of their respective races. After a five-game ZvT, it was EG's Revival that emerged as the fourth semi finalist and will go against "Boss Toss" tomorrow.
All semi finalist are guaranteed to grab at least $2,000 with the winner going home with five times this number.
