Innovation and crew move on to play Woongjin Stars for the Proleague championship on August 3rd, after back to back victories over KT Rolster this weekend. This will be the first time in STX's history that they will challenge for the gold.
Both matches were strikingly similar in how they played out. STX SouL's two victories came after the winning performances of Innovation and the Protoss core line-up with Hyvaa being the only player to drop a map, both times to KT ace Flash.
STX now move on to their first Proleague finals in their history, to play Woongjin Stars on August 3rd. The two teams are tied 3-3 in the regular season with the last match being a clean sweep for Woongjin Stars so STX SouL enter the finals with vengeance in their minds. A single Bo7 match will then determine the first SC2 Proleague champion and the winner of the lion's share of the $279,000 prize pool.
