In the penultimate group of the round of 32, the eSports legend shut down Europe season one top four ForGG in three maps to send him packing.
After a Ro32 exit last season - a somewhat disappointing result for the household name - Grubby returned tonight to redeem himself for past results. The Dutchman started with a 2-1 victory over Bunny but as he couldnt get past Vortix in the winners match, he was sent down to the decider against Millenium powerhouse ForGG.
ForGG brought along his strong TvP whose recent record included victories over sOs, Squirtle and HerO. As the Korean took the first map it looked to be another early exit for the crowd favorite from the Netherlands but Bel'Shir Vestige and Newkirk Precinct allowed Grubby to make his comeback and 2-1 his way into the round of 16.
After Shuttle and Tails, ForGG is the third Korean to be eliminated in the first round of WCS Europe competition and of the seven total Koreans, only MVP, MC, MMA and Duckdeok are left to represent the country. Tomorrow, the round of 32 comes to an end with the all-European group of Happy, ToD, SortOf and StarNaN and the round of 16 should follow shortly.
