Reigning Europe champion MVP hit the on switch of the new season by going 4-1 against Elfi and Tefel.
The Korean contingent at WCS Premier S2 are off to a flying as their top performer and reigning champion IM_MVP was the first to advance through and make it to the Ro16.
None of the players that came from Challenger league proved to be an obstacle to IM's ace, who opened the playday by blanking Finnish Protoss Elfi on Whirlwind and Planet S. A 2-1 against Tefel in the winners match secured it for the Korean and both of the foreigners who suffered his punches had to fight for survival in the Group A decider.
Elfi entered the match against the Polish Zerg channeling his momentum from his 2-1 sweep over Beastyqt and after taking Whirlwind it looked like the Fin would make it to the top sixteen. A turnaround came from Tefel, however, and the series swayed into his favor for a 2-1, which secured his advancement to the next group stage.
As WCS EU Premier continues tomorrow, two crowd favorites will come out to play their matches as Stephano and MC go against Slivko and Shuttle in the respective opening matches.
