Golden takes Red Bull Training Grounds, banks $2,500

In a StarTale team-kill, the ex-Quantic member 4-2'd his team-mate Sound at the Red Bull Training Grounds grand final and snatches the first major gold medal of his career.

The two Koreans met in the conclusion of the three day event after going 3-0 in the group stage relatively unopposed, dropping just two maps each. The playoffs greeted them with mirror matches and thus Golden had to play ROOT Zerg and winner of SHOUTcraft America Kane while Sound was paired with EG's DeMuslim.

The StarTale duo slice through the round of four just as easily and lost one map across both of them before meeting in the grand final. There, in a six-game series, the Zerg was able to overcome his Terran team-mate and come out champion and $2,500 richer - something to give him a decent momentum coming into MLG Spring Championship in four days time.
