Sound and Golden lead the groups on Red Bull Training Grounds day 1

The StarTale-trained duo fires off the Red Bull tournaments with two wins each and are certain to advance to the playoffs tomorrow.

Away from the noise of the ongoing HomeStory Cup, eight players were invited to the Red Bull headquarters in Santa Monica, California for three days of StarCraft 2 and $5,000 in prize pool. With all three regions represented, the first third of the tournament was given start last night.

StarTale's Sound and Golden were the first ones to go into the positive score, making sure they will represent their team in the playoffs on June 23rd. Known for his all-kill against NS HoSeo in the GSTL, Sound opened with 2-1 against crowd  favorite Grubby and packed a 3-0 flawless win over 2012 US champion Vibe (although each match is a Bo3, tournamenent's rule say that all three maps are to be played, the winner gaining $100 for each win). His Zerg team-mate had an equally good run and dealt a 2-1 to EG's DeMuslim, following it up with a 3-0 against ROOT's Puck.

The remainder of the group stage matches will be played tonight, starting 23:15 CET. Two players of each group advance to the Bo5 semi finals tomorrow. A Bo7 grand final is to close the event and award the winner $2,500.
