The second day of HSC partying - and StarCraft 2 competition, of course - at Krefeld is at its end and the line-ups for the second group stage have been drawn. Tomorrow, the tournament heats even more up as the remaining sixteen will be halved.
Like in day one, little upsets were observed during the second batch of Ro32 games. Proven winners like Stephano, Taeja, Seed and reigning HSC champion Snute effortlessly made it through to the Ro16. Each of Happy, NightEnD, TLO and HasuObs came second in groups E-H to make Europe's triumph even bigger.
What day two marked was the fall of North America as US representatives qxc and State as well as Canadian Zerg Hendralisk were shown the way out of the tournament, having won just two maps across all three of them. The Americans were joined by South Africa's PandaTank, Europe's trio Morrow, Harstem and Kas, as well as Clarity Gaming's Dragon, the only Korean to be eliminated so far.
The games resume tomorrow at 13:00 CET with four more double elimination groups. Opening games are MC versus NightEnd and Bunny versus TLO, followed by the group of death with Taeja, Stephano, Mana and Goswser.
