Two for two went the Koreans and Europeans in the first half of Ro16 matches as the final day of DreamHack Summer began. WCS Europe runner-up Stephano was the first to fall, slain by EG team-mate Stephano. The Tyrant now advances to play Lucifron who prevailed over in the all-European Terran clash between him and Millenium up-and-comer Dayshi.

Among the bigger surprises of those first rounds of matches was TLO prevalence over GSL finalist and IM ace Squirtle. The German Zerg has dropped just one series throughout the entire tournament and looks forward to a Liquid team-kill against team ace Taeja.

The bottom part of the bracket began with the uncontested domination of Life over Polish Zerg Tefel and continued on with Sjow ousting Harstem from the tournament in yet another all-foreign battle. At the end of the round, DHS Cinderella StarDust overtook Azubu captain Violet in a PvZ upset and advanced as the lone Protoss in the quarter finals, destined to play Gumiho's conqueror HyuN.
