Balance Testing: Hellbats nerfed, Banshees buffed

"Derelict Watcher TE (2.0.8 Balance v1.1)" is now out for the masses to test. The big buff to the Warp Prism has been retracted and replaced by a smaller buff. Terran are the focus this time, with Hellbats nerfed before they become a problem, and Banshees buffed to counteract.

  • Warp Prism

                 - Movement speed increased from 2.5 to 2.953 (previously 2.5 to 3.375.)
                 - Acceleration increased from 2.125 to 2.625 (previously 2.125 to 3.25.)
                 - The Gravitic Drive upgrade is back and will increase movement speed to 3.375 and acceleration to 3.25.

The previous update has proved too powerful making the Warp Prism very effective from an early point. With feedback from testers and pro players alike, it was decided to retract the change, but still leave some sort of buff to the initial speed of the Warp Prism. The Gravitic Drive upgrade is back to the Robotics Bay to once again enable super speedy Warp Prisms.

  • Hellbat

                 - Attack damage decreased from 18 +12 vs. light to 18.
                 - The Infernal Pre-Igniter upgrade increases attack damage from 18 to 18 +12 vs. light.

  • Banshee

                 - Cloaking Field research cost decreased from 200/200 to 100/100.
                 - Cloaking Field research time decreased from 110 seconds to 90.

The Hellbat were nerfed preemptively to prevent Hellbat drops from becoming a problem. This change is still in the works. Terran does not seem to be overpowered at this point and to counteract the reduced harass potential, Banshees have been buffed. The reduced cost should allow Terrans to have a varied arsenal of harass possibilities creating more exciting games.

As usual the changes are not final and subject to feeback from testers may change before full deploymant.
