The Korean qualifier for HSC 7 played last night saw the advancement of FXO's newest acquisition Seed and Prime's Terran Maru, as well as the fall of powerhouses like DRG, Leenock, Taeja and MC.
Sahng Won "Seed" Ahn, who transferred from Incredible Miracle to FXOpen but two weeks ago, emerged as the champion of the HomeStory Cup Korean Qualifier and earned a paid trip to Take's appartment in Krefeld for his first ever HSC appearance. The former GSL champion ousted names like Genius, DongRaeGu, sC and Creator before finally dealing a 3-1 blow to Maru in the grand final.
As a second place finisher, Maru too is given the chance to attend HomeStory Cup 7 as he's extended an invitation. The youngster had an equally challenging run throughout the qualifier and had to crush through MC, Symbol and Leenock before making the final round.
Two more qualifiers will be held by the end of the week, the American one scheduled for June 6th and the one for Europe coming the next day. They will be followed by two weeks of pause and invite announcements before the tournament kicks off June 20-23.
