Both Beastyqt and Elfi were left out of the Premier League competition the first season and had to start their ascend from the challenger bracket. After failing to beat the first phase, they were sent down to the second phase of the challenger trials and were paired with SaSe, who ended his run in premier league Ro16 after being paired with Nerchio, Lucifron and eventual champion Mvp, and Monchi, who suffered an even ealier exit in the Ro32.
Beastyqt was the first to take his Premier League spot after slicing through the group undefeated, trampling the northern opposition in Elfi and SaSe. Two matches later, it was the Finnish Protoss who followed him to the higher echelons of WCS Europe after eliminating Monci from the tournament and defeating SaSe to drag him down to challenger league for the next season.
The third challenger group is scheduled for tonight, May 29th at 18:00 CET. Opening matches are Strelok vs Jogginghose and SortOf vs Slivko.
