ESL have drawn the eight groups for the WCS EU challenger circuit, which are to begin this Monday, right after the European champion is decided. The line-up features established heavy-hitters like Vortix, Naniwa, Thorzain, MC, Nerchio and more.
The group stage of the WCS challenger circuit is comprised of all those who failed to beat the bracket stage and are now split into eight groups which are to act as the final relegation. The top two out of each group shall climb up to premier league, the third place finisher shall retain his challenger league status while the worst performing player shall drop out of WCS Europe entirely and will have to qualify through next season's preliminaries.
With the line-up heavily stacked with talent, there's a good chance some prominent names might not make it up to premier league. In addition to the names already mentioned are also the ones of HasuObs, Strelok, SortOf, Sase, Elfi, Tails, Feast, Kas and Mana among others and none of them will be satisfied by anything less than top two.
The schedule for each group is listed in the table below, all playdays start at 18:00 CET.
