The powerhouse that is STX's Innovation devours yet another team as a 4-0 against CJ Entus makes for his second all-kill this round. In the other match for the day, SKT clinched a victory against Proleague leaders Woongjin Stars through Parting, Rain and Fantasy.
After making short work of the best that EG-TL had to offer in week one, Innovation returned today to cash a second all-kill, this time against CJ Entus. In two TvZs and TvPs, Innovation sliced through Bong, Hydra, Effort and herO (in that order), shrugging off everything the CJ roster threw at him, from phoenix openings, through ling/baneling and ultralisk swarms, to proxy oracles nad 2-base timings.
This was a much needed decisive victory for STX Soul who, after their 4-0 against EG-TL haven't been performing as well, suffering a 3-4 loss to SKT as well as two 1-4's against KT Rolster and Samsung KHAN. Although currently in the top four, STX are aware that the next few games will be critical, seeing how the records of the 2nd to 5th teams are incredibly close.

In an opening PvP galore, SK Telecom and Woongjin Stars went head to head, never allowing each other to accumulate a big lead. In those first games, PartinG would emerge as the first (and only) player to win more than a single set and became responsible for the elimination of two of Woongjin's finest Protosses - Flying and Free.
Not until PartinG's fall and Fantasy's arrival were Proleague viewers to something different than a PvP. In a rich on aggression fifth game, the Teran ace of SKT terrorized sOs with hellbat drops and medivac/bio aggression until the Code S finalist finally conceded. He would eventually be avenged by Woongjin's ace Soulkey and the two teams entered the seventh and final game of the series.
A phoenix opening into a 4-gate colossus play came from SKT's last hope Rain. From there, through immaculate forcefielding and favorable engagement angles, Rain drilled deeper and deeper into Zerg territory, slowly replacing his melee units with stalkers to counter the corruptor waves Soulkey was forced to produce in order to battle the colossus rearguard. Upon reaching a critical mass of firepower, all Rain had to do was a-move behind Soulkey and secure yet another victory for SKT.
While this is the third win in a row for SKT, they are still far behind Proleague leaders Woongjin Stars, who are certain to keep their #1 spot at least until the beginning of the final round six.
