GosuGamers caught up with a very jet-lagged Testie after winning the Panamerican World Cyber Games.
The criticism has been very hard around the scene about Panamerican WCG. How did you experience it?
- Nah, it was fine. The tournament was supposed to have few players, as it was just WCG winners from America's. And the event wasn't so bad, considering it was in Mexico they did a fine job. It's just that it was supposed to be smaller. I would have changed a couple things, like making one big group of 6 and top 4 advance. But the ref wasn't sure he could for SC. No problem though.
It had an okay feel to it. But it is obviously not a rich rich country. We stayed in a better hotel than in Italy, it was better organized for the players, we were only a 5 minute walk from the event, rather than a 1 hour bus ride. In some ways it was better than WCG, in some ways worse, he says and smiles.

- Hm, I figured I was the favourite. And I expected to win vs everybody fairly easily, except Odin. I expected a Testie vs Odin in finals. But Slash gave me a very good run for my money. Either I played a bit worse than I usually do, or he played amazing. I think he played great, regardless.
Were you surprised that your teammate Odin didn't make it?
- Very surprised. He played so well before WCG that I expected him to either win our group 3-0, or go 2-1.
Could you feel the WCG spirit there after being in Monza only a couple of weeks earlier?
- Yeah, there was WCG spirit. They had ESG there as well promoting the wii and PS3 etc so there were lots of people etc.
What are you intending to do with the money?
- I am intending to save it. It is time for me to start saving my money.
Some of it will go towards gifts. The rest goes to the bank.
What's up next for Testie, any upcoming event you will be attending?
- Nope. No events that I know of. I wasn't invited to the Chinese ones.
