KBK changed their minds - the 2 foreign players previously invited are no longer welcome to the finals of the KBK league due to "higher ranked players".Yesterday, GosuGamers reported to you about the ending of the KBK league. There were 6 foreign players invited to the tournament, and only two of them not currently residing in Korea. rS.WhiZ and ToT)WiLLEt were told their trip and all the expenses would be covered. Now, they were told that "players (which higher rank in a starcraft match) changed their mind so we don’t have space for you" and that they should cancel their tickets. They were, however, invited to the qualification for the next game festival in Korea.
First of all, tell me what happend in your own words
rS.WhiZ: "I got called up by a KBK guy and was asked if I could come to korea for the weekend to participate in the jeju game festival, I said sure. Today I was called up by the same guy telling me that the spaces we were granted had been filled "by higher ranked starplayers" but he also said that both me and willet was gonna get invited to the next game festival which takes place in about 4 months. So we still get to go, but not now :)
I hope."
What was your first reaction when he told you this? It was in the middle of the night, correct?
rS.WhiZ: "No, it was not in the middle of the night, it was aout 8am, and at first I wasn't very happy, but then he said that we were welcome for the next game festival. I am pretty happy with that, since willet and I really haven't had any time to plan our trip. I just hope we get to go now.."
How can you be sure his words about the next game festival are correct, what if they trick you guys again?
rS.WhiZ: "They didnt really trick us, we were really gonna go, but then a couple of progamers who had declined before, changed their minds (i guees) nada, chojja, nal_ra, xellos had turned kbk down at first. Probably some of them, I don't know. Can't blame then for wanting them instead of us, but still, really bad. Letting them come back when they had already contacted us."
Thanks, good luck in a possible futher final of KBK & GameJeju!WiLLEt wrote a forum post about this subject himself, check it out » Here.
