What is Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8’s story update about?
Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 2.8 adds the final story content update for Season 2, capping off the game’s past year of stories while setting up the Phaethon’s future adventures in Season 3. This season focuses on Ramielle Dan (first introduced as Ramiel), a mysterious new character who first appeared in Version 2.7.
The Phaethon will team up with Promeia and Starlight Billy in this update, and learn more about Ramiel in the new story update.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8’s new Agents Promeia and Starlight Billy
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 will be headlined by two new playable S-Rank Agents: Promeia and Starlight–Billy. Promeia is an Ice-Anomaly Agent and a member of the Krampus Compliance Authority. She acts as an on-field burst DPS, capable of boosting Abloom damage for the whole squad. She can also deal Abloom damage multiple times to enemies with Attribute Anomalies.
Starlight–Billy is a Physical Rupture S-Rank Agent, joining 2.x’s new Rupture Specialty. Starlight–Billy will be an on-field DPS, capable of launching a Special Attack that increases his own CRIT damage. He can also summon a motorcycle–Kamen Rider-style–to deal a ton of damage at once.
Promeia will be available in Version 2.8’s first half banner with a re-running Lucia, while Starlight–Billy will join Version 2.8’s second half banner with a re-running Orphie & Magus. This update’s new Bangboo is the ghostly Booltergeist, who hovers around the battlefield and lasers enemies continuously.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8’s new Miyabi skin
Hoshimi Miyabi, one of Zenless Zone Zero’s most iconic and beloved Void Hunters, is getting an all-new skin. The outfit, entitled Dignified Blossom, gives Miyabi a more casual makeover and can be purchased in the in-game shop.
A simplified activity system is also being introduced to help players hunt down Polychromes, and ensure they’re not wasting any incomplete weeklies and dailies that they might be unaware of. This system is called the Polychrome Guide, and it comes with shortcuts for players to jump right into various activities. The game will also allow players to better manage their in-game resources, and thus reduce its file size.
