Another member of the Cunning Hares is getting an S-Rank upgrade.
HoYoverse has officially unveiled the next two S-Rank Agents coming to Zenless Zone Zero’s upcoming Version 2.8 update, and one of them has been long-awaited by fans: Starlight–Billy, an S-Rank version of Billy Kid. The second is Promeia, a member of the Krampus Compliance Authority who made a major appearance in Version 2.7’s story content.

Is Billy Kid getting an S-Rank version in Zenless Zone Zero 2.8?
Zenless Zone Zero players have been clamouring for an S-Rank version of Billy Kid ever since his fellow Cunning Hares member, Anby, got the S-Rank treatment in Version 1.6. After all, the Cunning Hares were the very first trio of playable Agents whom players were introduced to in the 1.0 release, and thus have become a source of immense nostalgia.
In the upcoming Version 2.8 update, fans will finally get their wish. Starlight–Billy has officially been drip-teased by HoYoverse as a Physical Rupture S-Rank Agent, putting him squarely in the meta moving forward. In the upcoming update, Billy will transform into a form inspired by his favourite in-universe Tosukatsu series, Starlight Knights, to better beat back the forces of evil.
In various quotes displayed on his newly-released Agent Record, Starlight–Billy is said to boast new “equipment” which can turn into “guns, cannons” and “anything at all.” He still wears his red scarf, inspired by his time with the Sons of Calydon.
What is Promeia’s Attribute and Specialty in Zenless Zone Zero 2.8?
Starlight–Billy won’t be alone when he joins Zenless Zone Zero in the upcoming Version 2.8 update. He will also be accompanied by a familiar face from recent story patches: Promeia, a member of the Krampus Compliance Authority faction. Promeia is an Ice Anomaly Agent, who was last seen contending with Cissia in Version 2.7.
Promeia was depicted as a rather mysterious and cold figure in Version 2.7, but in her newly-released Agent Record, fellow Krampus member Zhao teases that she might not be all that she seems. Cissia, as usual, seems deathly scared of her, thanks to her past trauma–which Promeia had a hand in.
Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8’s release date has not been revealed yet.
