The second day of the Vengeance Cup at the Dreamhack Winter 2012 saw some epic games with surprise outcomes. Here's a little summary of what happened and what we covered.
The highlight of our coverage today was definitely the interview with the cup's host James '2GD' Harding in which he proposed a lot of ideas for Valve and stating that they have a lot of responsibility to bear.
The day however started off with the release of the Loda&Akke interview after they advanced to the playoffs. They looked very confident, setting TI3 as a goal, which they backed up by kicking out fan favorite We Haz Asian of the tournament. We Haz Asian, a team that could've written the story of the tournament, took the second place in their group by kicking out mousesports.
Not as successful were the BYOC teams who could not live up to the Honey Badger's heritage and got kicked out. Kriate and Matrim still joined us for interviews and were pretty down to earth, stating that playing against pros is difficult beyond limits but also is necessary to improve themselves.

Having dropped out of the tournaments, players didn't let their heads down and very still gladly joining us for interviews. Fata- was very humble and said he blames himself for their loss, whereas strangby could still draw a positive conclusion to Dreamhack. Sneyking and Black^ joined us as well during the Na'Vi vs EG quarter final match, after Na'Vi had lost the first game. They commented on the game and Sneyking appropriately analyzed that there's only a few counters to Sven, which Na'Vi lacked.
We also talked to bdiz, who gives credit to Universe for teaching him a lot about playing as a support.
Na'Vi eventually dropped out of the tournament, as well as We Haz Asian, Dignitas and Absolute Legends. Fnatic, No Tidehunter, Evil Genuises and Empire are currently all looking really strong, advancing with a clean sheet of 2-0. Things are now getting really interesting, as all teams want to claim the title, and surely all of them can.
