Kagendra were crowned as the champions of the Honor of Kings Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL) Spring 2025 after defeating Dominator Esports in the league's grand finals. Kagendra, the runner-up of Group Tyrant, overcame an Ultimate Battle contest against the previously-undefeated Dominator to win the series 4-3. The grand finals also saw Dominator's only loss in the tournament.
Kagendra started their journey in the Play-ins after failing to grab the top spot in Group Tyrant from Dominator, who went flawless with a 13-0 record. Farhan “Hanss” Akbari Ardiansyah and his team successfully defeated ONIC 2-0 to qualify for the upper bracket semifinals. However, they were then swept by Bigetron by Vitality, dropping them into the lower bracket.
In the lower bracket, Kagendra proved their worth in the IKL Spring 2025 by beating Rex Regum Qeon, 3-1, before successfully exacting their revenge against Bigetron by Vitality with a 3-0 sweep, thus setting up a showdown with Dominator in the grand finals.
It was a back-and-forth series between both teams as Dominator Esports took the early 2-0 lead before Kagendra took them down twice to level the score. Then the score went to 3-3 after each team got another game victory to take the players into the Ultimate Battle game seven, where both coaches drafted Dharma, Mai, and Arli for their teams.
Dominator Esports drafted Luna for Hoo “TianX” Wen Feng while Kagendra believed in Satria "Wiraww" Adi Wiratama's Agudo. The roamers were also different, with Dominator picking Zhang Fei and Dyadya was picked for Man “Lu” Hin Wong.
It was a total massacre by Kagendra in the ultimate battle, as the Garuda shut down any hopes of TianX taking things late by dismantling the aggressiveness of the enemy Mai and Agudo. In the end, Kagendra were able to quickly close out the 4-3 series victory and claim the glory of IKL Spring 2025 champions.
With the IKL 2025 over, three teams will represent the league in the Honor of Kings World Championship that will be held as part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The teams are Kagendra, Dominator Esports, and Bigetron by Vitality.
