As the Open Division has kicked off for Phase Two, we're getting a fresh look at the new talent coming to the amateur scene as teams are hoping to advance to the Premier League in The Crucible.
Yesterday 32 faced off in our best-of-three bracket to determined the winner for the second Open Division Cup. It all comes down to tonight, as Run it Down faces Bushido e-Sports, and Schiesseisen faces Team Leftovers in the semi-finals. In Cup #1 Bushido played Run it Down in the semi-finals as well, beating them 2-0 and beating WhoAmI in the grand finals to that the first win of the Open Division.
WhoAmI fails to return to the semi-finals this time, as they lost 2-1 to Schiesseisen in the quarterfinals, coincidentally the only team to give them a loss in their run in the first cup up to the semi-finals. Team Leftovers is a familiar name from the first phase, advancing all the way to the playoff finals but losing to Team GoodGuys who would go on to advance to the Premier League.
