Some people aren't happy with Probius

To some, one of the most unique looking heroes to join the game ended up feeling like a generic "Q and W" spam mage. What happened to the builder hero that Blizzard promised?

There seem to be two types of Heroes fans when it comes to the topic of Probius.

One group is excited about Probius because after getting past the initial "this hero is weird" phase, realized that he is very strong and capable of dealing tons of damage. They don't care that thematically a probe shouldn't be dealing loads of AoE damage (more damage than High Templar), they just like doing tons of damage

And the other group can't enjoy the hero because of the missed opportunity to have a true builder hero with complexities different than most mage heroes.

A popular Reddit thread gathered all of the latter to discuss the disappointing reality of Probius gameplay. Chief complaints include the reliance on his Warp Rift damage and how weak Photon Cannons are.

Comparisons between Kael'Thas and Li-Ming were made and people lamented that Probius was described as just another mage. Some people even wished the new hero was Karax, as his hero would have likely been focused entirely on building structures and bringing utility to the team.

Pylons and Cannons don't even have unit collision! That alone is enough to irk Starcraft players who were looking forward embracing one of the most iconic Starcraft units into the Nexus.

What do you think? Is Probius fine or does half of his kit just not belong?
