Will we see more Overwatch agents?

Forbes published an interesting interview covering the future of the Overwatch franchise within Heroes.

The article focuses less on HotS as a whole and more on the challenges of integrating the new Blizzard IP into the existing cast of characters. While no specific plans were released, the interviewed Lead Hero Designer Kent-Eric Hagman did give some insight into the future of Heroes of the Storm.

The most exciting thing to come out of this is not that the team is looking to implement more Overwatch heroes (which is something we knew all along) but that it is likely we’ll see one of the agents in the Nexus sooner rather than later.

Otherwise, Hagman also revealed that the team would like to see maps implemented into the game “for all of our universes”, alluding not only to potential Overwatch maps, but Starcraft ones as well. Additionally it looked into the intricacies of Hero-creation and what decisions go into choosing which Heroes are next.

The final piece of more noteworthy information is the reassurance that not only are the developers happy with how Heroes is working out (despite being much smaller than its MOBA-competitors), but they are always looking to continue to improve the game.
