Hitbox, one of Twitch's biggest competitors, is getting ready to provide 4K streaming quality. As a first showcase, they are hosting the 4K Heroes Showmatch.
Remember when 1080p was all the hype? Well, it's not anymore... that's for sure! 4K resolution is four times bigger, and more and more services are supporting this Ultra High Definition. Hitbox, one of the biggest competitors to Twitch in the streaming industry, has announced their plans to start providing 4K quality options to their streamers. And to showcase what this would look like, they have announced the 4K Heroes Showmatch.
Team Liquid, TCM-Gaming, G2 and Fnatic have been invited to show what top Heroes gameplay would look like in 4K. In a Single Elimination bracket, featuring Bo5's for the most part, these four teams will be playing for the $4,000 USD prize pool. The matches will be broadcasted at hitbox.tv/4KHeroes this upcoming Sunday, starting at 3:30 pm CET/9:30 am ET. For more information, visit this page.
