Three different panels will focus on Heroes of the Storm at Blizzcon

Besides showing everybody the game during the Heroes World Championship Finals, Blizzard will also be talking about the game in a total of three panels happening at Blizzcon!?

Blizzcon is arguably the highlight of every year for Blizzard. During this yearly event, players from all over the world travel to Anaheim, California, to enjoy all aspects of the Blizzard world. For several years now, Blizzcon has for instance been home to the World Championships of their eSports. World of Warcraft Arena, StarCraft II, Hearthstone and now Heroes of the Storm will each be played by the best teams and players of the world.

Today, Blizzard put online the schedules for the event for both Friday and Saturday. And besides the already known Heroes World Championship, fans of the game will also be able to enjoy a total of three panels dedicated to different aspects of Heroes of the Storm. Visitors of the event, and Virtual Ticket holders, will be able to enjoy the following panels live:

Friday 6 November:

Heroes of the Storm: Hero Design
2:15 PM - 3:15 PM PST

"Join the Heroes of the Storm development team to take a closer look at all of the new Heroes coming to the Nexus."

While we don't have information on what Heroes will be released during this panel, we do know of several Heroes that have at one point or another been announced as being in development. Character models already exist for Cho'gall, Kel'Thuzad, Mekkatorque, Zul'jin and Za'Muro. And we can expect at least a StarCraft character or two as well.

Saturday 7 November:

Heroes of the Storm - State of the Game
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM PST

"The Heroes of the Storm development team discusses how the game's evolved and where it's going next, including upcoming changes for Heroes, Battlegrounds, and talents."

This panel will be exciting because it will show how Blizzard will continue to form and shape our game. Features like Grandmaster Rank, matchmaking reworks and possibly Arcade Mode are just some of the possible announcements that can be revealed during this panel. And of course the Heroes, Battlegrounds and talents changes that are advertised in the panel's description.

Heroes of the Storm: Battlegrounds
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM PST

"Journey into the Battlegrounds of the Nexus with an in-depth look at the new locations and objectives you'll conquer in Heroes of the Storm."

This panel will probably bring the biggest amount of new content. Because, as of right now, Blizzard has not shared a single detail on future battlegrounds with the public, and they are most likely going to keep it that way till Blizzcon. With the panel being an hour long, just like the other panels, we will most likely hear about 2-3 new battlegrounds or battleground concepts that will be added to the game in the future. Blizzard might also expand a bit on their intention to introduce more structured map rotations, an idea they have been thinking about for a while.

If you haven't purchased a ticket for Blizzcon yet, you are too late to actually go to Blizzcon to watch these panels (and more) in person. There is still time to purchase the Virtual Ticket however, which can be done here. For everybody else, the panels will most likely be uploaded to YouTube at some point after they happen. So please don't worry, everyone will be able to watch the contents of the panels at some point!
