The EU scene is turning on its head with E.T.C. bans, powerhouse teams being wiped, and the return of some long forgotten heroes.
The first segment of Stormgrounds has completed today after revealing signs of a serious shift in EU Heroes. Most notably, is Team Liquid's early loss to Bob?. Bob? has been a force to be reckoned with for some time now, specifically showing their might in Enter the Storm #3. Team Liquid has been the most dominant team in Europe for many months now, but this could signal the end of an era.
Something else interesting to note is the fact the E.T.C. was banned against Bob? twice by Team Liquid. Although he has been out of the meta for some time now, Bob? has recently been making him look very strong. Likely inspired by his use by the Korean MVP Black during MSI MGA 2015, Bob? has put the fear of metal into their foes once more.
Since MSI MGA, Arthas has also been seeing much more play. With his base kit being very flexible and strong, he makes an excellent Abathur companion or off-tank. Although he's less popular than Leoric right now, Arthas is a natural replacement in a double (or triple) warrior lineup after Leoric has been banned.
Today's games are finished, but Stormgrounds isn't over yet. The second half of the bracket will be played tomorrow starting at 17:45 cest and the finals will be played on Wednesday starting at the same time. All of these games will be streamed at hitbox.tv/Stormgrounds.
