Fnatic and Na'Vi in the winners bracket, Team Liquid in losers after upset by Puszekteam.
Day 1 of the 3 day tournament is already underway and it has started in a way that no one could of predicted. Upsets and surprises were everywhere. We saw Fnatic drafting 3 warriors, Team Liquid supposedly losing to a Nova pick by Puszek Team, and our redemption ballot winners, Cast Aside, sending SK gaming into the losers bracket.
Tanky front lines and burst damage have been a dominant force this tournament, with Muradin and Anub'arak flexing their CC dominance and natural synergy together. As a result, we have seen some new strategies that seek to take advantage of multiple melee warrior lineups- area of effect damage. One match in particular saw Puszek going Malfurion, Jaina, Kael'Thas, E.T.C and Zeratul for the ultimate AoE wombo combo against Muradin and Anub'arak. Beetles be damned!
