World Cyber Games, one of the biggest events during a year for StarCraft, countless visitors and plenties of player gather to compete in their favourite game. Time for some updates.
Let us start with some information about
WCG Canada. The offline tournament takes place in La Ronde, Montreal from September the 1st to 3rd. The modus will be a double elimination tournament including winners and losers bracket for the top two of each of the following four groups:

Canada will send two representatives to WCG Finals in
Monza, Italy. Dell computer systems provides WCG Canada with the latest gaming systems, 10 XPS computers are set up on stage for featured games and gold medal games for each tournament. In PC tournament area there are 40 custom built Dell Dimension systems. WCG Canada covers the costs for tickets for each player participating, visitors have to pay the regular prize. Poland, unfortunately for the Polish StarCraft addicts, there is only one ticket to WCG Finals in
Monza, Italy. The Polish finals will take place on September the 9th, in Warsaw. One of the favourite players for the ticket, MYM.Blackman, got seeded due to his place in last year WCG Poland. Then the top two players of the three groups got a spot in WCG Finals as well, the players placed third in each group had to play eachother to determine the 8th player in a mini-tournament. WCG Malaysia took place just some days ago and for many's surprise it is not JohnRambo going to
WCG Monza, Italy this year. M1-Cobo managed to beat him in the finals with 2-0 and due to only one ticket for StarCraft in Malaysia it is Cobo flying. If you are wondering what "M1" means, it is the short version of Mas-1, the biggest Malaysian e-sport community
