The first Master Of The Races showmatch is about to take place, and now is the time to discover the first two players who will battle it out in order to prove their skill.
The two players who will face each other next Sunday will be one Terran player and one Zerg player. One is from Sweden/Norway, and the other is from Spain. Let me introduce BW-Mireille and FanatiC.SquaLL who, according to them, have never played each other in the past.
SquaLL is one of the top Spanish players, along with ZelotITO, who is currently ranked #20 in the GosuGamers Database. As a former member of Team.iD and x6AMD, David Saez is now a member of the team FanatiC. Here is an extract from his interview at MeetYourMakers.com :
- Well for your first match, u'll be against a T, Mireille, to be more specific. What do you think of his gameplay?
To be honest i've never played him before, and the only game i watched from him was one that he played ToT)MidiaN( and he won.
Does the fact that his TvZ defeated a top player like Midian intimidate you at all for Sundayb's match?
Not really :) It just means that i've to be really carefull against him.
On his side, Emil Niklasson also known as Mireille, is currently ranked #30 in our Database. His recent victory against iNcontroL in the ZonewareZ league Showmatch is an excellent proof of his great skill at TvZ.
Here are a few words by Mireille at MeetYourMakers.com :
- Ok....For the first match, you'll be against the Spanish Zerg, SquaLL, have you met him before in battle?
I never played SquaLL actually, but I have a great respect of him since he won great terrans in showgames before.
Yes that was partly why I'd hoped for a TvZ this first match, as I consider you one of the fastest rising terrans in the foreign scene right now as well. Could you name a few of your latest victories (players you have recently defeated)?
Hmm...Selector, JiMin[inca], Sea.Finepix, hurin[inca] to name a few from last week...I've been mostly playing at west as you can see :)
This showmatch will take place on Sunday, 11th at 16:00 CET. Hopefully, it will be shoutcasted by the great Micro on RadioITG.com.
