The holiday edition of the tournament won’t be something to miss.
Two of the Hearthstone world champions, James “Firebat” Kostesich and Sebastian “Ostkaka” Engwall, as well as the most consistent player of 2016 Sebastian “Xixo” Bentert are among the invites of the sixth edition of TakeTV’s SeatStory Cup. The tournament is set to return December 15-18 with another $20,000 for grabs.
A week prior to the start, the list of announced players for SeatStory Cup VI sits at 20 out of 32. In addition to the aforementioned, top Hearthstone teams such as Cloud9, G2 Esports, Tempo Storm, Complexity and Liquid are sending representatives to contest the prize pool. Among the notable names is also Wifecoach, wife of G2’s Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy, who made a strong showing at the recent DreamHack Winter starting 3-0 in the swiss before tasting elimination in the later rounds.
All of the previous SeatStory Cup champions – Cong “StrifeCro” Shu, Janne “Savjz” Mikkonen, Jon “Orange” Westberg, Jan “SuperJJ” Janssen and Lifecoach – will make a return to Krefeld, aiming to be the first ever repeat winner of the major.
