The list of announced cards keeps growing.

Three new Mean Streets of Gadgetzan cards were shown overnight, bringing the total to 75 with less than 60 cards remaining. The reveal campaign recently entered its Kabal week, focused on Warlocks, Mages and Priest, making for one spellcaster feast.

[card]kabal crystal runner[/card] is a new Mage minion very similar to Shaman’s [card]thing from below[/card]. This minion gets decrease in its mana cost by 2 for each secret played this game, making it possible to drop a big 5/5 body for a huge discount.

There are obvious reasons why the Runner is still far behind Thing from Below in value. First of all, it lacks taunt and is a vanilla 5/5 body on arrival. Second, current Mage decks aren’t fond of running secrets after the rotation of [card]mad scientist[/card] and are the domain of Freeze Mage exclusively. Even though Runner’s cost decreases by 2 for each secret as opposed to TFB’s 1 for each totem, it will still lose the discount race more often than not.

Warlock’s new card, on the other hand, looks to be more potent. A [card]hellfire[/card] on steroids, [card]felfire potion[/card] deals 5 damage to all characters, not only acting as more or less definitive board clear, but also helping with the face damage to end the game.

Finally, we have the [card]toxic sewer ooze[/card], a 3 mana 4/3 drop that eats 1 durability from the opponent’s weapon. With [card]acidic swamp ooze[/card] available, however, it’s questionable if Toxic Sewer Ooze will ever see much play.
