It's a [card]Dread Infernal[/card] on steroids.
The week of the Kabal has begun, and yesterday Warlocks received their first new minion. In a YouTube video Octavian "Kripparian" Morosan showed off the demon: Abyssal Enforcer. At first glance one may think: "Well Dread Infernal has a similar effect, but doesn't see play. Why would this one be any different?"
Well, think about the original demon. For 6 mana you play a 6/6 that deals 1 damage to all other characters. But at turn 6, how often will 1 damage still matter? Rarely. However, for only 1 more mana you now play a 6/6 which casts [card]Hellfire[/card] as its battlecry. A huge difference in terms of impact. The Abyssal Enforcer finds its home in Control Warlock decks, providing another strong AoE effect AND a strong body on board.
The blog post which introduced the Kabal reads:"We are at our STRONGEST when our decks only have a SINGLE COPY of each card!". The faction legendary [card]Kazakus[/card] is designed around this mechanic, but of course [card]Reno Jackson[/card] is the card that initially inspired everyone to only have single copies of cards in their deck. The Abyssal Enforcer will have a comfortable spot in the Reno Warlock decks, but it remains to be seen how strong the deck will be after all cards are released.
