Paladins get new toys as four new Gadgetzan cards get revealed

Those include a Defender of Argus on steroids.

A lot of what has been shown for Paladin in the new expansion set Mean Streets of Gadgetzan points towards going back to the class roots: Building an army, making it big and flood the board. This was the tactic for Uther in the early days of the game, with a deck called White Weenies, which used cards such as [card]sword of justice[/card] to drop cheap minions on the board and cheat up their stats.

The Grimy Goons thus seem a perfect fit for Paladin, especially with their tribal hand-buffing mechanic. A total of three cards now – [card]grimestreet enforcer[/card], [card]grimestreet outfitter[/card] and the very new [card]smuggler's run[/card] – are all about buffing the Paladin army that is yet to come into play. Another new card in [card]grimestreet protector[/card] is made to add even more durability to the Paladin board. For the fans of minion-based decks who are tired of playing control with Anyfin and N’Zoth, the future is looking bright!

Two more cards were revealed in last night’s batch. [card]Grimy gadgeteer[/card] is a new Warrior 4-drop statted at 4-3 that has a recurring end-of-turn hand buff effect and looks to be a great addition for the 4-mana slot in minion-based Warrior decks, usually taken by [card]kor'kron elite[/card]. [card]doppelgangster[/card] is a neutral 2/2 minion for 5 mana which summons two copies of itself on the board – a great set-up for [card]defender of argus[/card], don’t you think?
