The $60,000 Celestial Invitational enters its non-Standard period this week. In the next six day, the invites will test their skills in two Wild formats: With banned GvG and banned Naxxramas, starting with the former.
While most classes mostly stuck to their current builds with making only minor changes such as adding in [card]loatheb[/card] or [card]mad scientist[/card] to up their effectiveness, others such as Paladin, Priest and Rogue enjoyed the inclusion of the old sets much more. N’Zoth was a common sight on opening day, the card working beautifully with the old goldie [card]sludge belcher[/card] and other deathrattle staples.
The Old God is expected to be a persisting presence in the Wild week. The next rotation will see the return of powerful GvG cards including [card]piloted shredder[/card] and [card]dr boom[/card], both of which work well with the master of deathrattles.
