In a livestream Lead Game Designer Ben Brode revealed the newest adventure.
For the past days, weeks even, the Hearthstone community had already been speculating about what the new adventure would be and although the location "Karazhan" was almost certain, the theme wasn't. In the newest adventure, the Last Guardian Medivh is hosting a party in his house, but he's gone missing. It is up to the players to investigate the situation, which they can do by working their way up in the tower, fighting against or with other guests.
Here is what's known about One Night in Karazhan so far:
- There will be a free prologue (1 boss, Prince Malchezaar), playable for everyone, which will give you 2 cards
- 45 new cards will be introduced with this adventure
- Including the prologue, there are 13 defeatable bosses
- Unlike previous adventures, players now fight their way up in the wings
- There are 4 wings, excluding the prologue. In order: The Parlor, The Opera, The Menagerie, The Spire
- The adventure will be available two weeks from now, on August 11th
- The full adventure will cost $19.99, individual wings cost $6.99 per wing
- Like previous adventures, individual wings can also be bought for 700 gold per wing
- Everyone who purchases the whole adventure within the first week of its release will get an exclusive card back
- A new game board will come along with the adventure
Unlike with the last adventure, League of Explorers, not all cards have been revealed yet. However, we still got to see seven cards that will be obtainable through completing bosses and challenges in the adventure!
