ThijsNL and Crane headline the list four rounds into the swiss stage.

The fight for the $25,000 and 42 HCT points at the PGL studios in Bucharest is heating up. Half of the players will face elimination today, failing to secure at least three wins, while the rest will move on to fight for the money and points during the weekend.

Prime tournament favorite Thijs “ThijsNL” Molendijk is leading the standings as expected. Fresh of his win at the Curse Trials, the G2 marquee is yet to drop a series and is 4-0, most recently against Melty’s new recruit Vincent “Vinz” Ralambomiadana. Thijs will meet the winner of Crane and Moody (being played at the time of this publication) for the top seed. The aforementioned three are also a lock for the playoffs tomorrow, as well as Greek player Athanas.

Somewhat of an upset was the elimination of Remi “Tars” Roesch. The Frenchman qualified back-to-back for PGL Tavern Tales and the HCT Winter Championship, beating several notable names along theway, but 1-3 in Bucharest to be mathematically eliminated from the tournament.

Qualifier players:

Netherlands ThijsNL
France VinzHS
Denmark Crane
Romania Moody
Greece Athanas
