The open qualifier winners are representing in the Gfinity playoffs. Sottle and Zozus will now go head to head for one of the grand final spots.
Three of the four semi finalists of Gfinity are coming from the open qualifiers. This is the ratio after Archon's Firebat is the only one who survived the march of the underdog.
In the third quarter final of the Spring Masters, Faramir was out for revenge against local representative Sottle after the Brit defeated his Trig team-mate Powder 3-2 and 3-1 in last night's group stage matches. Faramir started the series on a good foot, taking a win for his control Warrior but bringing out his Druid played him a bad joke. Losing two and three put Faramir in the catch-up role as Sottle took the series lead. Fortunately for the Tavern Takeover champion, his Druid did manage to win back a series in game four, only so he can Rogue ultimately lose the decider. Sottle now advances to the semis, having slain two Trig Esports players.
Another five-game brawl took shape in the last quarterfinal of the day as Zozus went against Neirea. The series went set for set all the way, eventually ending with a Druid mirror going Zozus' way. For the Polish player, this is another high profile name beaten down at Gfinity grounds after he eliminated Archon captain Amaz last night with 3-2, 3-2 in the groups.
