It’s been a long three years, but BlizzCon is finally almost here.
After nearly three years, BlizzCon is finally just days away. Blizzard’s massive fan celebration returns to Anaheim on 12 September, bringing the long wait since BlizzCon 2023 to an end.
The 2023 show was the first in-person BlizzCon since 2019, but another break followed when BlizzCon 2024 was cancelled. Blizzard then skipped 2025 before confirming BlizzCon would return in 2026 in March last year.
The build-up has included reports of a new StarCraft first-person shooter reveal and the recently revealed BlizzCon 2026 cosmetic bundles. The final pieces are in place too. In its Know Before You Go, Blizzard laid out the full schedule, livestream information, registration, activities, esports, and other details for the weekend.
With only days to go, here’s how BlizzCon 2026 is shaping up and what fans need to know before the weekend begins.
When and where is BlizzCon 2026?
BlizzCon 2026 takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California on 12 and 13 September.
- Saturday, 12 September: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PDT
- Sunday, 13 September: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PDT
- Opening Ceremony: Saturday, 10:30 a.m. PDT in Hall D
- Early queues and security: Open from 6:00 a.m. PDT on both days
Seating for the Opening Ceremony is first-come, first-served. If Hall D fills up, the ceremony will also be shown at other stages and viewing locations around the convention.
Can I still buy BlizzCon 2026 tickets?
Unfortunately, all BlizzCon 2026 passes are sold out, so tickets are no longer available for the in-person event. If you missed out, some BlizzCon livestreams can still be watched online for free throughout the weekend.
Where to watch BlizzCon 2026
BlizzCon 2026 will be livestreamed through Blizzard’s official YouTube, Twitch, and Battle.net channels. Programming will vary by channel, so the Viewership Guide has the full breakdown for the Opening Ceremony, major panels, esports, and other broadcasts.
Participating YouTube and Twitch streams will also offer viewership rewards, with eligibility varying by game, stream, and platform. Those attending in person can receive eligible rewards by linking their BlizzCon Pass to their Battle.net account by 18 September.

The full two-day programming schedule is out, giving fans plenty of time to work out what they want to catch across the weekend.

BlizzCon 2026 registration
Registration takes place in Hall E of the Anaheim Convention Center, with doors opening on Friday, 11 September.
Before arriving, make sure to:
- Check that the BlizzCon Pass is assigned to the correct name on Tixr. There are instructions for changing the name if needed.
- Bring a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s licence or passport, that matches the name on the pass.
- Have the BlizzCon Pass ready in the Tixr app.
- Link the BlizzCon Pass to a Battle.net account to receive the BlizzCon Ultimate Collection and eligible viewership rewards.
Registration hours are:
- Friday, 11 September: 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. PDT
- Saturday, 12 September: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PDT
- Sunday, 13 September: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. PDT
Once the pass is scanned, attendees receive a BlizzCon badge, event wristband, and commemorative-items voucher. The badge and wristband must be worn throughout the event, and lost ones will not be replaced. The voucher must also be redeemed when issued rather than saved for later.
If you purchased an Add-On experience, follow the signage to the Add-On line in Hall E. Everything included with both the BlizzCon Pass and Add-On can be collected there, so there is no need to queue twice.
What can you do at BlizzCon 2026?
BlizzCon has plenty happening beyond the main programming and esports schedule.
- Darkmoon Faire returns on North Hall Level 2 with collectibles, mystery items, games, the Duck Pond, Adopt-a-Plushie booth, Trading Post, and prizes. Darkmoon Faire After Hours will also feature a special live performance by BRB, a rock band made up of Blizzard employees, with covers spanning rock, alternative, and metal alongside a few songs from Blizzard games.
- Community Night takes place on Saturday from 4:45–7:00 p.m. PDT in Hall D, featuring the Art, Cosplay, Short Film, and Talent contests.
- The cosplay group photo takes place at the Grand Plaza Fountain on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. PDT. Costumes and props must follow the Cosplay & Props Policy.
- March of the Murlocs returns on Sunday. Participants gather at Arena Plaza at 11:45 a.m. PDT before the march begins at noon. This year’s colour is emerald green.
- Inclusion Nexus on the second floor of South Hall features panels, Blizzard archives, live art, career conversations, networking, accessibility and inclusion discussions, and other programming.
- Portfolio and résumé reviews run from 2:00–5:00 p.m. PDT on Saturday and Sunday in room 201C. Spots are first-come, first-served, with time slots available from the welcome desk.
- The BlizzCon Merch Store will also be open throughout the weekend, with additional kiosks and click-and-collect available. BlizzCon is cashless, so purchases require a credit card, debit card, or mobile payment method.
BlizzCon Charity Night and Darkmoon Faire After Hours are both sold out. Anyone who already has tickets can find their entry times, locations, and other details in the full Know Before You Go.
BlizzCon 2026 esports tournaments
Five esports competitions are taking place across the weekend:
- Overwatch World Cup
- World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon International
- World of Warcraft Arena World Championship
- Hearthstone Masters Tour World Championship
- Blizzard Classic Cup
All five are included with a BlizzCon Pass, with no additional ticket required. The competition areas are expected to fill quickly, so attendees planning to watch in person should check the schedule ahead of time.
