Rebecca can be obtained for free in the Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk Edgerunners collab.
After a year of silence following its original announcement, Kuro Games has finally shared a fresh look at the upcoming Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collaboration. The new trailer, released on 7 May, 2026, confirms that Lucy and Rebecca from the hit anime series will both join the game as playable characters when the crossover launches in June.
The collaboration is expected to arrive alongside Wuthering Waves Version 3.4, following the conclusion of the game’s current Lahai-Roi storyline in Version 3.3.
Which Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters are joining Wuthering Waves?
The new 1.5-minute trailer opens with narration from Stan The Man, styled similarly to the introductions used throughout Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City. From there, Kuro Games gives players their first proper look at Lucy and Rebecca inside Wuthering Waves.
Rebecca is confirmed to be obtainable for free during the collaboration event, although Kuro Games have not yet explained how players will unlock her. Details surrounding Lucy’s availability are also still unclear, including whether she will release through a limited banner.
The reveal follows earlier speculation surrounding the crossover. Back in April, a now-deleted X post from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners voice actor Wendee Lee briefly mentioned “Cyberpunk x Wuthering Waves–Lucy & Rebecca” before being removed.
The trailer also offers a closer look at how the two characters will fight in-game. Rebecca can be seen using her signature heavy rifle, while Lucy fights with the Mono-Wire weapon more closely associated with Netrunners in the Cyberpunk universe. One detail that may disappoint some fans is the setting. Despite the Cyberpunk crossover, the collaboration appears to take place entirely within Solaris-3 rather than Night City itself, something many players had hoped to see after the collaboration was first announced.
Is David Martinez coming to Wuthering Waves?
Towards the end of the teaser, Lucy is shown looking up at the moon before David Martinez briefly appears in a surprise cameo. Kuro Games have not confirmed whether David will become playable, but the trailer strongly suggests he will feature in the collaboration’s main story content.
When does the Wuthering Waves x Cyberpunk: Edgerunners collab launch?
Kuro Games confirmed that the collaboration will launch in June 2026, which lines up with the expected release window for Wuthering Waves Version 3.4. With Version 3.3 currently wrapping up the Lahai-Roi storyline and the defeat of the Threnodian Aleph-1 by Rover and Aemeath, the upcoming update is expected to shift focus fully towards the collaboration event before the next major story arc begins.
