While there were millions of shifts clocked in by dispatchers, a few hundred thousand were stubbornly too busy saving the city to fall in love.
AdHoc Studio’s interactive superhero workplace game Dispatch closed out 2025 with a bang, surpassing three million copies sold before the year even ended.
The studio shared the milestone through an animated infographic on Bluesky on 2 January (GMT+8), giving fans a peek at just how chaotic their city-saving adventures had been.
Dispatch sells three million copies, with more than one billion heroes dispatched
Players were kept busy. According to the infographic, they clocked 52.5 million shifts, answered 727 million calls, and sent out more than one billion heroes to deal with emergencies across the city. That’s a lot of overtime, even for a superhero.
The infographic also gave a breakdown of the romance routes players chose. Invisgal was the runaway favourite, with 1.9 million players pursuing her storyline, while one million went for Blazer. Another 266,000 ended up in complicated situationships, and 164,000 remained stubbornly single, because who’s got time for romance in a city in need of heroes, right?
Dispatch had already shown it could move fast: it sold 1 million copies in less than 10 days after launching in October 2025, quickly establishing itself as one of the standout indie hits of the year.
AdHoc Studio have also confirmed that discussions around a second season are ongoing, though they’ve been upfront that any follow-up would happen under “very different” conditions than the first season.
The superhero workplace is also heading to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, where it’s currently available for pre-order. The game's Australian listing points to a 29 January, 2026 release date. Switch 2 owners will get a free upgrade pack with improved resolution and frame rates. As of now, there’s no word on an Xbox Series X|S launch.
