Another Fortnite crossover has entered the chat.
Another week, another crossover for Fortnite. This time it’s bringing in another video game character onto the Island. Grace Ashcroft from Resident Evil Requiem is officially heading to Fortnite, thanks to a new promotion with the Epic Games Store. The announcement comes ahead of Resident Evil Requiem’s release on 27 February.
A first look at her skin was shared by The Game Awards official X (formerly Twitter) account:
How to unlock the free Grace Ashcroft skin in Fortnite
Getting the skin is fairly straightforward. Players need to open the Epic Games Store via its website or desktop app, search for Resident Evil Requiem, and pre-order the game. The promotion is also featured on the storefront’s home page, so it’s easy to spot. The offer runs until 27 February 2026, which is also the game’s official release date.
Once the purchase is complete, the Grace Ashcroft Fortnite skin is secured without spending any V-Bucks. However, there is one important detail: players won’t receive the skin immediately. Distribution is expected sometime in March 2026, meaning that it will arrive shortly after the game launches.
It’s also worth noting that the Epic Games Store account used to pre-purchase Resident Evil Requiem must be the same account linked to Fortnite. Otherwise, the reward will not carry over.
At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether this cross-promotion will remain available after release, similar to previous collaborations such as the Crimson Desert skin. Players who would rather not pre-order may still have another opportunity, should the Grace Ashcroft skin appear in the Fortnite Item Shop at a later date.
Fortnite has been busy revealing and releasing new collaboration skins from different pop culture icons, from Hollywood stars to video game characters from other publishers, and even anime. Last week, Fortnite revealed Sung Jinwoo, Cha Hae-in, and Igris as part of the Solo Leveling: Arise crossover. Then just days before that, Luna Snow and Magik from Marvel Rivals have made it to the game.
Some other crossovers announced this year include Blade and Kafka from Honkai: Star Rail, while other skins revealed over the past two months include South Park, The Office, Kizuna AI, and Chappell Roan.
