PGL Wallachia Season 6’s Group Stage saw some shocking results–most notably OG’s unexpected resurgence among the top contenders.
The Playoffs lineup for PGL Wallachia Season 6 is now set. The Swiss-system Group Stage wrapped up last night, 19 November, finalising eight teams advancing to the next stage and another eight eliminated.
Team Spirit and
Team Liquid lead the race, both remaining undefeated with a 3-0 final score. The journey for Spirit started off shaky with a risky loss to
Yakult Brothers in their opening match, but the team managed to bounce back and secure consecutive wins. Liquid, meanwhile, is finally showing form after a brief period of instability–likely due to adjusting to their new-season roster.
Powerhouses like
PARIVISION,
BetBoom Team,
Tundra Esports, and
Heroic have also made it into the Playoffs.
MOUZ, despite fielding stand-ins, continued to perform well and placed themselves among the best-performing teams.
But most notably,
OG–now fielding a full-Filipino lineup–comfortably secured a Top 3 finish in the Group Stage, earning an easy Playoffs spot. It’s fair to say no one saw it coming, so here’s more about their run:
OG spotlighted throughout PGL Wallachia Season 6’s Group Stage
Iconic two-time world champion OG made a surprise appearance at Wallachia S6 following their recent acquisition of Southeast Asia’s Team Aureus–which initially qualified for the tournament via the SEA qualifiers. This gives fans the chance to see OG make a long-awaited return to a top tournament.
Heading into the event, expectations for OG were low as SEA teams typically aren’t much of a threat on a global scale. However, the team blew past expectations during Wallachia S6’s Group Stage.
They started with a 2-0 upset against PARIVISION, a team widely considered the most dominant in the previous season. And if that wasn’t enough, OG went on to defeat Tundra Esports in a hard-fought 2-1 series, taking down the current top contender, who had recently won BLAST Slam IV.
OG finished their Group Stage run with a win against HEROIC and a loss against Team Liquid–placing them in the Top 3 and securing a clear Playoffs spot.
Nobody expected this iteration of OG to work–especially after multiple failed attempts with previous versions of the roster, whether the Western European lineup or the South American one.
But this performance has undeniably drawn significant attention, as the community watches closely to see how they will fare in the Playoffs.
The next stage of PGL Wallachia S6, begins today, 20 November, as the final eight clash for the title and a slice of the US$1 million prize pool. The first pairings of the Playoffs are as follows:
- PARIVISION vs MOUZ
- Team Spirit vs HEROIC
- OG vs BetBoom Team
- Team Liquid vs Tundra Esports
While the remaining teams prepare for the Playoffs, the bottom eight pack their bags and look to return stronger.
PGL Wallachia Season 6 bids farewell to eight teams

While some teams in the red zone were expected to struggle, a few surprising names found themselves near the bottom of the standings.
The highly anticipated return of Chinese juggernauts this season has led to an anticlimactic start. Both
Xtreme Gaming and
Team Tidebound–who performed strongly at TI 2025–failed to make the Playoffs at Wallachia S6.
Xtreme came close, with several narrow 1-2 losses, while Tidebound had a more disappointing run, managing only a single series win. It seems both teams still need time to settle into their newly adjusted lineups.

Nigma Galaxy is also out of Wallachia S6 after a poor Group Stage run. The team, now fielding new carry Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev, was unable to match their impressive TI 2025 performance, suffering frustrating losses to Tundra Esports, GamerLegion, and Xtreme Gaming. Although they secured a win against Team Cobra, it wasn’t enough to bring them into Playoffs contention.
Joining these notable names in the elimination zone are dark horses GamerLegion, NAVI, and Yakult Brothers, as well as underdogs, Team Cobra and Roar Gaming.
