TA2000 joins Nigma Galaxy as their carry player on loan from Team Yandex.
Nigma Galaxy has announced the addition of their new carry player, Kazakhstani talent Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev, who joins the roster on loan from the Russian organisation
Team Yandex. This move comes just a day after the team parted ways with Daniel Chan “Ghost” Kok Hong.
Nigma Galaxy’s Dota 2 roster is now as follows:
Aybek “TA2000” Tokayev
Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan
Tony “No!ob” Assaf
Omar “OmaR” Moughrabi
Tobias “Tobi” Buchner
Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi (Coach)
In this updated lineup, TA2000 takes on the daunting position-one role for Nigma Galaxy–a spot that originally belongs to Dota 2 superstar Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi. However, the legendary Jordanian player has been on hiatus due to undisclosed health issues, and has remained inactive since February. During his absence,
Daniel Chan “Ghost” Kok Hong stepped in as the team’s de facto substitute.
After an impressive nine-month stint, Ghost’s tenure as a stand-in has come to an end, and he is now seeking new opportunities. His departure initially gave fans hope for Miracle-’s potential return, but TA2000’s arrival has put those speculations to rest.
A new chapter for TA2000
TA2000 is widely recognized as one of the most promising rising carry players in the Dota 2 scene, bringing with him an intriguing story as he joins Nigma Galaxy.
He spent the majority of his career competing for lesser-known teams in the Eastern European region since 2017, before finding his breakthrough in 2022 with the Qatari organisation
PSG Quest. With Quest, he achieved a remarkable 4th-place finish at the 2023 Bali Major and a Top 8 placement at the 2023 Riyadh Masters, massively surpassing expectations and challenging top-tier teams despite the squad’s underdog status. This impressive run eventually led to the team’s high profile partnership with PSG.
However, Quest’s early success did not pan out to consistent dominance. The team struggled to break into Dota 2’s top echelon and ultimately disbanded in 2024. Following that, TA2000 continued to deliver impressive runs with
Chimera Esports and, most recently, Team Yandex.
Into the 2025/2026 season, TA2000 board the fan-favorite team, marking a new chapter for the 25-year-old. Interestingly, TA2000’s move to Nigma Galaxy feels like a full-circle moment, as he reunites with his former PSG Quest teammates-No!ob, OmaR, and Tobi.
With four players already having proven chemistry, Nigma Galaxy’s new lineup looks highly promising heading into the last few tournaments of the year. This new lineup may help Nigma bounce back after a rough start to the new season, which saw the team struggle in the recent FISSURE events. TA2000 will make his debut with Nigma Galaxy at PGL Wallachia Season 6, set to kick off on 15 November.
