Clavision Masters 2025: Snow Ruyi features a total of eight teams qualified for The International 2025.
With the Dota 2 competition at the Esports World Cup 2025 all wrapped up, attention now shifts to the next big event on the calendar: Clavision Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi.
Taking place from 28 July to 3 August, the tournament will see ten teams battle it out live at the Bo Ao Indoor Stadium in Zhangjiakou, competing for a share of the US$700,000 prize pool. The champions will walk away with the largest cut: US$213,500.
The full team lineup was revealed on 8 July, featuring a stacked roster of Dota 2 powerhouses and crowd favorites, enough to fuel hype for the tournament. Notably, eight of the ten teams are already qualified for The International (TI) 2025, making this tournament a strong preview of what the teams can bring to the world championship a month from now.
Clavision Masters 2025: Snow-Ruyi teams preview
The Clavision Masters Snow-Ruyi will field three home ground representatives:
Xtreme Gaming,
All Gamers Global, and
Yakult Brothers—each bringing their own storylines to the competition.
Xtreme Gaming enters as one of the more anticipated squads, though they’ll be competing with a temporary adjustment. Position 5 support player Wilson “poloson” Koh Chin has stepped away due to health concerns, prompting the team to bring in veteran
Jian Wei “xNova-” Yap as a stand-in. On top of an exciting reunion with former teammate
Wang “Ame” Chunyu, xNova will also bring plenty of experience and star power to the already stacked lineup.
All Gamers Global, formerly
Team Tidebound, are the only Chinese team directly invited to TI 2025 and now return to competition after missing out on the Dota 2 Esports World Cup. Their absence came after a narrow loss in the closed qualifiers–ironically, at the hands of Xtreme Gaming. Now, they’ll aim to reassert their strengths ahead of TI.
Yakult Brothers, while boasting notable veterans from the Chinese Dota scene, arrive with slightly less prestige. Having failed to qualify for TI, they don’t quite have the pedigree of the other Chinese teams in this tournament. However, the team has delivered great performances throughout the early season and most notably clinched a Top 6 finish at DreamLeague Season 26 in May, where they placed ahead of powerhouses like
Team Liquid and
Team Falcons. So you can’t quite count them out.
Joining the Chinese lineup are top-tier international contenders such as
PARIVISION,
Tundra Esports,
BetBoom Team, and
Gaimin Gladiators–teams widely regarded as the front-runners for the title who all recently finished in the Top 8 at the Dota 2 Esports World Cup.
Fan favourites
Nigma Galaxy will also be in attendance, rallying fans who hope to see the team return to top form. Their appearance at the Clavision event is even more exciting given that Nigma has qualified for TI for the first time since the team’s formation in 2019. Nigma’s performance here will play a key role in setting expectations for the organization’s first championship campaign.
Adding a relatively new team to the mix,
Team Yandex from Eastern Europe, will join the tournament as a last-minute replacement for
Aurora Gaming, who withdrew due to personal circumstances affecting one of their players. Formerly
Cyber Goose, the team made it big with a qualification to the Esports World Cup, in which they finished 9th-12th, and will once again attempt to prove themselves among the TI-qualified teams here.
Lastly,
BOOM Esports carries the banner for Southeast Asia. The all-Filipino roster kept a low profile throughout most of the season, only to deliver a stunning upset in the Southeast Asian TI qualifiers by eliminating regional giants
Talon Esports. The lineup includes renowned talent from the region, including Armel Paul “Armel” Tabios, who made his return to the scene in April after a year-long hiatus.
Clavision Masters Snow-Ruyi: Group stage seeding
The seven-day tournament will follow a familiar Dota 2 competitive structure, featuring a single round-robin Group Stage leading into a double-elimination Playoff bracket.
The group stage consists of two groups of five teams, with all matches played in a best-of-three format. The top team from each group will advance directly to the upper bracket semifinals. Teams finishing 2nd and 3rd will be seeded into the upper bracket quarterfinals, while the bottom two teams (4th and 5th) will drop into the lower bracket's opening round, an immediate elimination stage.
