BetBoom and Team Spirit make it to Lima Major unchallenged

Two of the three slots in the Eastern European region up for grabs for the Lima Major have been claimed with clean 6-0 series scores.

BetBoom Team and Team Spirit had an impeccable run through the three-week schedule of the Winter Tour EEU regional league, but one is bound to stain its score. The showdown between these two will close the league play in the EEU region on the 29th of January at 18:00 CET. This will mark the first time when the TI10 champion, Alexander "TORONTOTOKYO" Khertek will get to play against his former teammates.

Regardless of which team will experience its first defeat in the Winter Tour, BetBoom and Team Spirit will head to the Lima Major and will be joined by a third competitor from their region, which is yet to be decided.

Unlike other teams that struggle to make their revamped roster work right from the first tour of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit, BetBoom, who entered the new season with a full new line-up, and Team Spirit, who had to find a replacement for their TI10 champion mid lanner, had no issues in dominating regionally.

However, the big test for these two will come next month in Peru. The Lima Major is expected to unfold February 22-March 5 with a total of 18 teams from across all six regions fighting for a share of the $500 prize pool and 1,900 DPC Points.

So far, seven out of 18 slots up for grabs for the Lima Major have been claimed. Team Liquid is, for now, the only team to have secured its presence from Western Europe, Team Aster from China, Execration from SEA, Shopify Rebellion, and TSM claimed the NA tickets, while BetBoom and Team Spirit are the latest additions to the Major line-up.
